Up until now my greatest exercise achievment came when I was 20 years old and ran on the treadmill for 17 minutes straight. A few months ago I posted that I was going to start running and that my goal was to run a 5k. Well I am happy to report that today was the first day that I ran a 5k on the treadmill! It is amazing to see how I have been able to build up to this moment. 4 months ago I could barely run 1 minute on the treadmill and today, I ran for 30 minutes straight! It took me 45 minutes to complete the 5k (a 5 minute warmup, 30 minutes of running and a 10 minute cooldown) but I DID IT!!

I still have a long way to go. It's time to breakaway from my treadmill security blanket and actually run on hard ground. That's terrifying to me, but I am going to do it! I need to get more songs for my Ipod. Any suggestions for "pump it up" songs that I can download to my ipod?
I couldnt post a blog without including a picture (or 2) of my baby girl.... She's my real motivation for running and wanting to get healthier! Im one lucky girl!

The Girls

On Saturday night Camie and the girls came to my house to spend some time with Maggie and me while the guys were at priesthood. It's so much fun to have them all around. I think Maggie enjoyed it too. I love having them at my house and I am excited that they are Maggie's cousins! Carlee is so good with Maggie. She is going to be a great little babysitter!!

While they were here we had a little photo shoot to get some pictures of the girls. They turned out suprisingly well. I still need to work a little on lighting, but I am pleased with the efforts.

I just love these girls!!

Two Months

It's so amazing to think that Maggie has been in our family for two months. On one hand it seems like she has been here forever, and on the other hand, it still feels brand new. I am so honored to be chosen as her Mom. She is the most perfect little baby. She is growing so fast and changes each day. The pictures below show how much she has grown in the last month... Whew!

One Month Old....

Two Months Old...
Isn't she adorable!

I am blessed to have her in my life. I am also so LUCKY to have Laurie Jo, RANDALL, and Cody as part of my family. I would never want them to feel like chopped liver or anything :) just because I didnt mention them in a blog entry. I love them and I am blessed to have them in my life. I Love ya guys! (Do you feel better now Randall.... you MONKEY!)
